Melanie has also published a number of short stories in various collections. Personally I like -Dragon Prince, Star Scroll, Sunrunner's Fire, Stronghold, Dragon Token, Skybowl -better. We can all be glad that Robin has been in a prolific writing. There are reasons that Melanie is waiting to write it. I'd honestly wait a couple more years until Captal's Tower is written and published to pick up Ruins of Ambrai. There are a few homosexual characters, but they have interesting complications in their relationships, as do the heterosexual pairs.Īnyhoo, if you like Robin's book, obviously if you are here you do, Melanie's writing is much more similar than any Robert Jordan or Terry Goodkind. Well, I would recomend the 'Exiles' series by Melanie Rawn (yes, I know I go on about them at every available opportunity, but they're good books!) However, it's probably really mean of me to suggest them, as only the first two books of the trilogy have been written - book 2 came out in 1997, and I'm not sure that book 3 has even been started yet - ah well, am willing to wait as long as it takes! The Dragon Prince books by Melanie Rawn were pretty boring so I didn't try any others.
